Dr Abdul Basit Siddique MBBS, MRCP UK, MRCPE, FCPS-1
Dr Siddique is our acute medical consultant with special interest in Acute Neurology. Dr Siddique is currently working in Pennine Acute Trust NHS England. Before starting his job as an acute medical consultant Dr Siddique completed a three years research fellow in neurology at Manchester Centre for Clinical Neurosciences, which is considered as one of the leading centres in UK for research in neurosciences.
He graduated in 2008 and after certified by GMC he had his first job in the NHS in 2012.He has vast clinical experience and enjoys his bedside teachings to his juniors on day to day basis. He is a former Research Fellow in Manchester Centre for Clinical Neurosciences (MCCN).
He has helped numerous candidates pass the RCP Paces Exams and is well known for his teaching skills. He believes that undergoing the transition from IMG from a third world country to working as a Consultant NHS at the front door; has made him expert in understanding about the processes involved and expectations by an examiner in any professional assessment. He is keen on offering mentorship to all the aspiring doctors to make this transition and guide them to gain speciality training.
