Dr Muddassir Shaikh MBBS, MRCP UK, Special interest in Infections in Rheumatology
Dr Muddassir Shaikh is a consultant rheumatologist at the James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough. He has a background in Microbiology and Infectious disease and has a specialist interest in Infections in Rheumatology and leads the British Society for Rheumatology (BSR) special interest group on infections in Rheumatology. He is member of the BSR COVID-19 working group which has been involved in producing various policy documents with RCP and NICE.
Dr Shaikh is actively involved in teaching and training. He has organised, chaired and spoken at several national conferences. Dr Shaikh is enthusiastic driven and keen on teaching paces to candidates appearing in Paces Exams. He is well known for his teaching styles and helped multiple candidates successfully clearing the exams in first attempt.
