Dr Muhammad Meraj MRCP(UK), FCPS Internal Medicine(PAK),SCE (Rheumatology), Rheumatology Registrar, Health Education North East (HEENE).
Dr Meraj is a ST5 Rheumatology trainee Registrar in the Health Education North East. He graduated from Khyber Medical University Pakistan and completed his Fellowship in Internal Medicine, which is a four year programme.
He then completed a two year post graduation scholarship programme in Ireland and after completing his MRCP (UK) was appointed as a trainee registrar in the North East Deanery. He has extensive medical background experience and has been committed to providing excellent teaching. He enjoys teaching both at an undergraduate and postgraduate level and sees it as a rewarding way to expand and magnify his own knowledge. He teaches PACES candidates regularly and continues to get involved in paces teaching nationally and internationally.
He has been active in running a PACES teaching programme and bedside PACES teaching at the James Cook University Hospital. He has been praised by paces candidates for the tricks that he acquired, for a schematic approach to every individual case in PACES Exam.
